Glenna Elizabeth Beth Kelly

Glenna Elizabeth "Beth" Kelly, 49, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Kelly was born, raised and educated in Georgia. She worked most of her adult life as a marketing representative for Goodwill, hospitals, nursing homes and hospice organizations. Her most recent achievement was having attained a Theology degree through McNeese.

Beth loved cooking and enjoyed serving. She also enjoyed flower gardening, working in her yard and watching football, especially the Redskins, with her husband and friends.

Mrs. Kelly will be most remembered for her smile and as a dedicated wife, mother and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of seventeen years, Thomas "Tom" P. Kelly of Lake Charles; son David Michael Benfield of Marietta, GA; mother, Julie Bailey of Cartersville, GA; brother, Christopher Green and wife Janette of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Tracy Spencer and husband Bill of Marietta, GA and Faith Tatum and husband Aaron of Cartersville, GA; nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 75 Maiden Lane, Suite 603, New York, NY, 10038.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM Monday, September 13, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend James Pate will officiate. Inurnment will follow services in Georgia. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
