Gloria Gene Watson

Gloria Watson, 89, passed away in a local care facility on Thursday, February 20, 2020.

Gloria was born on March 5, 1930 in Shreveport, LA to Philip and Irma Gee.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and faithful member of Boulevard Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and painting.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Donna Lambert (Danny); grandchildren, Scott Lambert (Carrie), Kristy Colombo (Paul), Hollie Lampton (BJ), Rusty Lambert (Ashley), Laurie Mills (Seth), and Hunter Hewitt (Ashley); 18 great grandchildren, brother, Richard Gee (Margie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, William Watson; and daughter, Melinda Hewitt.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. Minister Hunter Hewitt will officiate. A private burial will take place in Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of Brighton Bridge Hospice and Resthaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and care.
