Gloria Jane Daigle

Gloria Jane Ardoin Daigle, 76, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 9:13 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in her residence.

Mrs. Daigle was born August 24, 1944 in Welsh, LA, where she attended high school.  She lived in Lake Charles for all of her adult life.  She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and a past member of the Catholic Daughters and the Moose Club Chapter #1468.  Mrs. Daigle enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, quilting, and embroidery.  She also had a great love for her family, was always helping those in need and never met a stranger.

Mrs. Daigle is survived by her sons, Mervin Daigle and wife Karen, Malcolm Daigle and wife Robbin, Marshall Daigle and wife Mary, and Marcus Daigle; daughters, Mary Paula Johnson and husband Calvin and Marietta Paula Hardesty and husband Broxie; brother, Eldridge Ardoin, Jr. and wife Janet; sisters, Linda Ryder, Annette Bradford, Jeanette Swire, Deborah Hickman, and Rebecca LeBleu and husband Philip; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldridge and Lillian Ardoin.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Deacon Leo Hebert will officiate.  Burial will follow in Ardoin Cove Cemetery in Lacassine, LA.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:30 AM until the start of the service, with a rosary at 12:00 PM.
