Gloria Landry Sanford

Mrs. Gloria Landry Sanford, a resident of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in her residence. She was born October 24, 1939 in Bell City to Preston and Trudy Landry.

Mrs. Sanford was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing with friends, and being with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Sanford is survived by her two sons, Curtis Layton Sanford II and wife Christine Carver Sanford of Lafayette, Christopher Landry Sanford of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Sophie Mae Broussard, Sydnie Marie Sanford, and Sadie Marae Sanford; three brothers, Paul Landry of Elton, Gerald Landry of Lake Charles, and Donald Landry of Lake Charles; one sister, Barbara Leithead of Lake Charles.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Layton Sanford.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:00PM in Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10AM until time of service, and a rosary will be prayed at 11AM. A private interment will follow in Consolata cemetery.
