Goldie C. Miller

Goldie C. Miller, 87, of Lake Charles, LA died at 1:06 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Miller was born January 1, 1925 in Lacassine, LA, where she was a 1944 graduate of Lacassine High School. She lived all of her adult life in Lake Charles, and retired from J.C. Penney's, where she was a sales associate in the fine jewelry department. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking. She took a special pride in her family and will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Nona Roach of Lake Charles, Billy Miller and wife Kay of Longville, LA, Richard Miller, Millie Richard, Keith Miller and wife Liz, all of Lake Charles, and Renee Unkel and husband David of Kinder, LA; brothers, Frank Corbello of Lake Charles and Martin Corbello of Lacassine; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Miller; one son, Kenneth Wayne Miller, grandchildren, Jessica Miller and Anthony Rasberry; and numerous siblings.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
