Gordon G.G. Armistead

Gordon Glynn Armistead, Jr., 64, of Moss Bluff passed away at 4:45 PM Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Armistead was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff and a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He worked most of his life in the Construction Industry as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Operating Engineers Local #406.

He loved following drag racing, especially with his family. He also enjoyed playing pool and playing cards.

Mr. Armistead was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #3622. He will be most remembered as a loyal husband, father and friend and for his sense of humor.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Judy Mays Armistead; two daughters, Martha Marti Armistead and Miriam Mimi Armistead; father, Gordon Armistead; one brother, Ronald P. Armistead, all of Moss Bluff and one sister, Sherry Trahan and husband George of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Tardiff Armistead.

In respect of Mr. Armistead's wishes, he will be cremated and memorial services will be at a later date.
