Gregory Lane "Greg" Goodeaux

Gregory Lane “Greg” Goodeaux, 64, of Moss Bluff, LA, passed away at 1:18 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in his residence.

Greg was born December 5, 1958, in Shreveport, LA.  He was raised in DeRidder, LA, where he graduated from DeRidder High School in 1977 and then attended McNeese State University.  Greg worked as an operator in the plants, spending most of his years at Westlake Chemical.  Upon his retirement from the industries, he worked in the sales of metal building for the past ten years.  Greg had a fun loving, yet interesting personality.  He was always giving, had a big heart, could always be counted on and was loved by everyone.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was always on the lookout for a new fishing spot.

Greg is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Jeanie Goodeaux of Moss Bluff; mother, Georgia Wilander of Monroe, LA; father, Sammy Ray Goodeaux of DeRidder; children, Samuel Lane Goodeaux (Brittney Dorman) of Longmont, CO, Stephanie Peloquin (Andy) of DeQuincy, Matthew Bryan Broussard (Cassie) of Lake Charles, and Brandon Broussard of Shreveport; brothers, Danny Goodeaux (Donna) of West Monroe, Dennis Goodeaux (Lavonne) of Monroe, Grant Goodeaux (Becky) of Richmond, TX, and Danny Hernandez (Jen) of DeRidder; mother-in-law, Helen Carroll of DeRidder; grandchildren, Violet Goodeaux, Andrew, Adam and Daniel Peloquin, and Brandon and Adam Broussard; along with numerous friends that he considered his brothers and a host of other family members. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Keith Broussard; sister, Pam Hernandez; and step-mom, Carolyn Goodeaux.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 12:00 PM on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Pastor Todd Schumacher will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.

Greg was very giving, donations in his memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
