Gwen Lee Voth Creel

Gwen Lee Voth Creel, 86, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in a local hospital.

Born in LeCompte, LA to Henry Ravelle and Bessie Chitty Voth, Mrs. Creel was a 1951 graduate of Oakdale High School and lived most of her life in Lake Charles, where she was a homemaker. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed traveling and cooking for family and friends. She was a member of the Ladies of Sahara and St. Margaret Catholic Church.

Mrs. Creel is survived by one son, David Reed and wife Sue of Grand Lake; two stepsons, Rod Creel and wife Judy of Dallas, TX and Gayle Creel of Houston, TX; a son in law, Mike Terranova of Lake Charles; two sisters, Ruby Montou of Oakdale and Sylvia Underwood of Bluffton, SC; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Arthur Ray Reed; her second husband, J. C. Creel; one son, Marcus Edwin Reed; two daughters, Mary Ann Reed and Debra Louise Terranova; and one brother, Billy Ravelle Voth.

Services are pending under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
