Gwendolyn Ann Doucet Morrison, 69, of Westlake passed away Saturday, December 01, 2012 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Morrison was born in Eunice, LA, raised in Ville Platte and has lived most of her life in Westlake. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Westlake. She took great pride in devoting her life, love and attention to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be most remembered as a generous, kind and loving woman.
Mrs. Morrison, affectionately known to her great-grandchildren as Maw Maw Shug, leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty-five years, David Morrison of Westlake; five children, Diana Ortego and husband Scott, Keith McGee and wife Robin, Pamela Ann Cradure and husband Paul, Kathy A. Cradure and husband John and Debbie L. Crosby and husband Dennis, all of Westlake; son-in-law, Ryan Skinner and wife Chelsea of Orange, TX; two sisters, Vernita Thibeaux and husband Lucas and Brenda Hamolka and husband Roland Pie, both of Lake Charles; fourteen grandchildren, Keith McGee, II and wife Jennifer, Jessica Pearson and husband Ryan, Aaron Ortego and wife Michelle, Jonathan Cradure and wife Hailey, Lance McGee, Courtney Kelly and husband Matt, Justin Cradure, Amber Olivier and husband Stephen, Corey Crosby, Lindsey Cradure, Alexa' Navarre and husband Grant , Cace Skinner, Halle Skinner and Reece Skinner and nine great-grandchildren, Bryce, Joleigh, Garyn, Kanen, Heith, Karson, Gavin, Kierston and Brookelyn.
She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Brandi Nicole Skinner; parents, Percy and Roseamae Doucet; two brothers, Al Doucet and Percy Pete Doucet and mother-in-law, Eleanor Morrison.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 04, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Westlake under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Doctor Wayne McEntire will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the funeral home. Visitation Tuesday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service in the church.
