Haitie Broussard

Haitie Broussard, 86, of Lake Charles passed away at 2:47 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in a Baton Rouge hospice facility.

Mrs. Broussard was born on July 28, 1936 in Mamou where she was raised until moving to Lake Charles to start a family.  She raised seven children and was also a self-employed hairdresser.  Mrs. Broussard was a devout Christian.

In her spare time, she enjoyed watching tv, especially Lifetime movies.  She will be remembered for her strong-willed personality.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie LaRocca (Randy) of Florien, LA and Pauline Bowman of Waxahachie, TX and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Broussard; children, Ray and Ricky Broussard, Sheila Bergeron, and Anthony and Evette Broussard; and three siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  The Rev. Steve Shirley will officiate.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.
