Hallie Hazel Ellender

Hallie Hazel Ellender, 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Lake Charles. Services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 3 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Father Gijo Ikkaramattom officiating. Burial will be in New Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Hallie was born in Crowley and lived most of her life in Hackberry. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Hallie loved to travel the country with family and grandchildren. She also loved to quilt. Hallie is survived by 5 grandchildren, Jared (Mandy) Jinks of Ragley, LA, Dustin (Beth) Jinks of Hackberry, LA, Kasey Jinks of Sulphur, LA, Cody Ellender of Canadian, TX, and Cayde Ellender of Houston, TX; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and sisters, Joelyn Buford and Freddine Hinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Ellender; son, Matthew Ellender; one daughter, Melissa Hinch; and sister, Marguerite Hebert.
