Hannah Clair Mcvey

Hannah Clair McVey, age 18, of Lake Charles, Louisiana entered into heaven on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Hannah was born and raised in Lake Charles Louisiana. She attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School from Pre-K through 8th grade. She then attended Alfred M. Barbe High School where she was a member of the Bluebelle's danceline and graduated in May of 2013. Hannah attended TPCS Center Stage Dance Company from the age of 4-17 where she danced on competition teams and also taught classes. Hannah had just begun her education at Louisiana State University as a freshman where she was studying to be a teacher. Hannah was so proud of her accomplishment of being an LSU Tiger and her family was very proud of her too. Hannah loved everyone that she came in contact with. She had a huge heart and a personality that would light up a room and put a smile on the faces of all who ever had the blessing of knowing her. Hannah enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Hannah was preceded in death by her older brother Michael Bret McVey: her paternal grandparents, Alden Lee and Mary Zena McVey; and her maternal grandfather, Norman Riddle. She is survived by her parents, Michael Lee and Norma Riddle McVey of Lake Charles; her sisters, Allison Lee and Sara Catherine McVey of Lake Charles; her niece/Goddaughter, Abbigail Nichole Lapoint of Lake Charles; her nephew, Bret Patrick McVey of Lake Charles; her niece, Audrey Camille Goodwin of Lake Charles; her maternal grandparents, Russell and Elieen Grantham of Lake Charles; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved her dearly. Hannah Clair's Funeral Mass will be Thursday October 24, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church of Lake Charles. Father Huckabee will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation for Hannah Clair will be from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm today at the funeral home with Rosary ceremony at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue Thursday October 24, 2013 at the funeral home from 9:00am-12: 30pm. The family requests for your presence in gathering at TPCS Center Stage Dance Company (4710 Common Street Suite B) following the burial. Life may not be the party we hope for so while we're here.
