Hannah Elizabeth Pauley, 15, of Lake Charles passed away at 11:10 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Hannah was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a sophomore student at St. Louis Catholic High School. She enjoyed hunting and followed her dad on duck and deer hunts. Hannah also enjoyed rodeos with her favorite horse "Mandy" and had been rodeoing since the age of seven, and competed in the Little Britches finals in Pueblo, CO. She also played varsity volleyball, softball, and ran track. Hannah enjoyed spending time with her dog "Tucker", who obeyed only Hannah. Hannah adored her brother and sister, Devon and Haleigh, and spent many hours riding the 4-wheeler at their farm in Sweetlake. She had many friends and never met a stranger. She loved baking brownies, getting her nails done, and spending time with her family. Hannah was a member of St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church and assisted with the Children's Church on Sundays.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Judy Tassin, great grandfather, Gaston Dupont, Jr. and Brigadier General Leonard E. Pauley, Sr. She leaves behind her father, Len Pauley, III, mother Susannah Shaver; one brother, Devon James Pauley; one sister, Haleigh Grace Pauley; grandparents; Pete and Mary Ellen Pauley, Houston Tassin, and Jimmy and Tommye Shaver; great grandmothers, Rosemary Pauley and Agnes Dupont; and great Uncle, Arnie Natali and wife Yvette; Uncles, Scott Pauley and wife Dalal, Travis Pauley and wife Pam, Dean Tassin and wife Kara, David Tassin and wife Carrie, Joey Tassin and wife Jennifer, and Aunts Lisa Dugas; Kala Walling and husband Kipp, and Marla Hathaway and husband Jacob. She is also survived by her birth mother, Jill Foreman.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Reverend Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday with a Scripture Service at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary and continue from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Travis, Scott, and Devon Pauley, Robbie LeBert, Shane Gutierrez, James Nixon, Chad Clement, and Kyle Reed; honorary pallbearers will be, Christopher and Tim Dugas, and Trent Dubus.
