Hannelore "Lola" Koch Khoury

Hannelore "Lola" Khoury, 88, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, April 02, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Khoury was born and raised in Germany, and sixty years ago, at the age of 28 had the courage and strength to come to the states alone.   She made Lake Charles her home. She was a loving wife and friend and had a real soft spot for animals. Mrs. Khoury was a member of the Lake Charles Catholic Deaf Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory, half-brother, Dr. Hans-Friedrich Koch and family of Germany. She also leaves her adopted family, Dorothy McCain of Lake Charles; Pam McCain and husband Bruce Cochran of Colorado and Andy McCain and wife Brenda of Moss Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Khoury; parents and one brother.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, April 05, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery. A gathering of friends Tuesday will be from 4:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to any animal charity of choice.
