Harold Duhon

Harold Duhon, age 88, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011.

Born March 22, 1922, to Gustave and Eliza Broussard Duhon, he was a descendant of Cyprein Duhon. He retired from the state of Louisiana after 32 years of service. A charter member of The Moose Lodge 1378, his passions in life were playing golf, fishing, and most of all, dancing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Helen Duhon, and eight siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Ruth LeBleu Duhon of Lake Charles; 10 step-children; several nieces and nephews; and numerous step-grandchildren.

His funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011, at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jed Duhon, Henry Duhon, Sam Kershaw, Linden Primeaux, George Stidham, and Wayne Beavers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Friday, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
