Harold James Barrilleaux, 93, of Lake Charles passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday June 24, 2014 surrounded by family. Harold was born in Franklin, Louisiana on July 27, 1920. He honorably and dutifully served our country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Harold served in World War II and the Korean War with the 8th Air Force Heavy Bombers. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Rosalie Shaw Barrilleaux; sisters, Edith Thibodeaux and Marie Holleman; and brother, Kermit Barrilleaux; and niece, Faith Blackburn. Those left to honor and cherish his memory are three nephews, Dean Thibodeaux and Bill Holleman, both of Lake Charles and R.A. Barrilleaux, Hilo, Hawaii; two nieces, Janet Davis of Nederland, TX and Susan Morrison of Arizona; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 1:00 PM at The Church of The Assumption, Franklin, Louisiana on Friday June 27, 2014. Burial, with full military honors will be at Franklin Cemetery following the Funeral Mass. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Villa Maria Assisted Living Facility.
