Harold Turk

September 1, 1939 — May 9, 2018

Harold Ezra Turk was born on September 1st, 1939 in Goodway, Alabama and grew up in Frisco City, Alabama. He joined the United States Air Force and served our country which brought him to Lake Charles, Louisiana where he met his wife Belba Spell Turk. As a veteran, Harold spent most of his years in the Beaumont, Texas area where he raised a family and traveled extensively as a successful top sales representative for True Manufacturing. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in West Texas with his family and friends. He loved travel and took many long drives to explore different areas. As a college football fan, he especially loved to watch the Alabama Crimson Tide. He returned to Lake Charles later in his life where he enjoyed time spent with his family. Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Belba Spell Turk; his sister, Helen Turk Jay; his mother, Eunice Gilmore Turk; his father, Mabry Allen Turk; and his brother, J.W. Turk. He is survived by his sisters and their husbands, Charolette Turk and Frank Davis and Allene Turk and Ausalee Brown. He is also survived by his daughters and their husbands, Stacey Turk and Danny Kelley and Melissa Turk and Terry Guillory. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Lauren, Michael, Farrah, and Fallon Flurry; Tyler, Victoria, and Conner Kelley; Matthew, Jesi and Emorie Guillory; and Rachel Guillory. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

His funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will take place in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8 AM until the start of the service.
