Harry "Gordon" Sullivan, 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital surrounded by family. Harry was born in Marvel, Arkansas and grew up in Helena, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Helena High School. Harry is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served in WWII. After the war Harry went on to study two years at the University of Arkansas. After college he went to work for Merek and Co. where he met his future wife. Harry retired in 1981 from Cities Service as a carpenter. He built the home that he and his wife raised their family and where his wife still resides today. He loved to travel, work around his house and in his shop. He also loved to bowl. Harry was always a coach for his kids and he was their biggest cheerleader. Harry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene Sullivan; daughters, Cindy (Lee) Vincent and Marilyn Sullivan; sons, Bobby Sullivan and Pat (Karen) Sullivan; sister, Jeanette Given; brother, Jack Sullivan; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 nephews and 2 nieces. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, David and Janie Sullivan and one brother, Paul Sullivan. Services for Harry will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Aubrey Guilbeau officiating. Visitation will be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 5-8 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm.
