Hazel Rita Bruney

Hazel Rita Bruney, 87 of Sulphur passed away on February 21, 2015. She loved to take road trips, was an avid gardener, enjoying drawing and crocheting. Hazel is survived by her children, Louis A. Bruney of Longview, TX, Rita B. (Reggie) Matte of Cankton, LA, Nada B. Oliver of Sulphur, LA, Kennith (Jan) Bruney of Port Orchard, WA, Paul (Rhonda) Bruney, Sr. of Surprise, AZ, Cynthia (Daniel) Norris of Sulphur, LA, Shannon "Sam" Bruney of Chattanooga, TN, William (Ricky) Bruney of Sulphur, LA, Amanda L. Bruney-Blaser of Houston, TX, and Lorena Bruney of Sulphur, LA; 3 sisters, Ednez Gilbert, Rita Mae Hill, and Willie Etta VanCleve. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Boudreaux and Lucille Mier; 2 sons, Dewey Bruney, Richard Alan Bruney; 3 step-sons, Donald Bruney, Wayne Bruney and Johnny Bruney. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2 P.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Shirley officiating. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the funeral home from 12:00 noon with a rosary at 12:30 with visitation continuing until time of the service.
