Heather Nicole Caillouet

October 24, 1985 — February 1, 2022

Heather Nicole Caillouet was born in Lake Charles, LA on October 24, 1985. She attended Sam Houston High School, where she was active in academic and sports. She played on the softball team and was part of the danceline. She was also a member of the school choir, attending many conventions; her voice could be heard resonating beyond her fellow members. Her singing voice, pitch, and tone were beautiful, a gift she shared with those she loved. If she wasn’t singing a song to herself, she would sing for her friends and family at gatherings and weddings.

In 2009, it was by chance through a mutual friend, that she would meet Justin. Their first date was a simple one, just the way she liked it; a picnic in Sam Houston Jones State Park, where they enjoyed conversation and the beauty of nature. On January 7, 2012, they exchanged vows. Heather became a bonus mom to 4 beautiful children, whom she cherished and loved as her own. She made it a point to always fill their home with fun and laughter. From food fights throughout the house to movie nights on the couch; she never cared how big the mess was, only how big the memories were. Heather always made the most of her time with her family!

She was full of life, positivity, and selflessness; those she loved the most were always at the forefront of her mind.  She never thought of herself before others, even after her breast cancer diagnosis. Through her tribulations, she never lost her contagious bubbly personality or positive outlook. Although cancer has taken her from this world, she inspires those who loved her most; stay selfless, stay positive, but more importantly give it all you got!

She was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 by:  mother in-love, Wendy Reed; aunt in-love, Dale Reed; grandmother, Martha Felice; and a grandchild born into the arms of Jesus.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of ten years, Justin Caillouet; children, Madison, Mason, Kaden and Logun; siblings, Ray (Michelle), Jacob, Madison, Richard (Kelsi), Cadie, and David; parents, Wanda and Richard Smith; aunt and uncle, Sherry and Steve Johnson; niece, Evelyn Smith; and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will welcome friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff beginning at 12:00 PM till time of service. Funeral Services led by Pastor Michael Howard will begin at 2:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home following the services.

In lieu of flowers, family invites you to make a donation in honor of her selfless heart to Colors for a Cause-Lake Charles, Ethel Precht Foundation, or a breast cancer charity of your choice.
