Helen Beatrice "Bea" Boswell, 87, of Sulphur, LA died at 5:18 AM on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in a local care facility.
Mrs. Boswell was born April 27, 1924 in Provencal, LA, where she lived for over twenty-five years. She also lived in Morgan City for twenty-eight years, where her husband was pastor of the United Pentecostal Church of Morgan City / Berwick area. Following her husband's retirement, she moved to Turkey Creek, where she lived for more than twenty years, and most recently moved to Sulphur to be closer to family. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with family and playing games. She also enjoyed flowers, especially growing African Violets.
Mrs. Boswell is survived by her daughters, Bonnie LeBlanc and husband Glen and Frances Adams and husband Nathan, all of Sulphur; son, Ronnie Boswell of Chestnut, LA; sister, Yvonne Evelyn Phillips of Derry, LA; brother, Albert Phillip Moss, Sr. of Metairie, LA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Earlee Boswell; son, Herbert Boswell, Jr.; and brother, Otis Moss.
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be at 5:00 PM on Thursday at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Turkey Creek, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
