Helen Dronet Mouton, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor at 10 am with Father Edward Richard officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 3-9 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and resume on Friday from 8-9:30 am. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Helen was born in Kaplan, LA She graduated from Kaplan High School and attended Business College in Lafayette. She worked at PCD (Citgo) as a mail clerk from 1943-1945. Helen was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church and was a member of the Ladies Alter Society. Helen loved to play pokeno and had played with the same pokeno group for the past 34 years. Helen loved to play bingo and loved to go to the casino also. She also loved to spend time cooking, baking for friends and family and canning figs, okra and corn. Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles Mouton; daughters, Waldeane (Greg) Gremillion and Pam (Jeff) Hanchey; one son, Chuck (Karen) Mouton; grandchildren, Tony (Diana) Mouton, Jenny Allen, Chester (Allison) Gremillion, Misti (Brad) Labbie and Staci (Chance) Henry; and great grandchildren, Rachel Allen, Kelsi Honea, Haley Allen, Riley Allen, Christopher Gremillion, Courtlyn Gremillion, Brady Labbie, Bryce Labbie, Collin Henry, Logan Guillotte and Mason Guillotte. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Louis, Lloyd, Frank and Sam Dronet. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Association
