Helen F. Soileau

Helen F. Soileau, 92, of Lake Charles, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at a local hospice facility surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born in Ville Platte on October 26, 1931, to Amalker and Olive Fontenot.

Helen was a joyful person who loved Cajun music, dancing in her kitchen and cooking. She loved to tease people and touched the lives of everyone she met. She babysat most of the children in the family (and a lot of the neighborhood children as well). Helen’s children and grandchildren were her world. She will always be loved and missed by her family and Friends. Helen will forever love her family ‘Big as Dallas’.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Davis Soileau, Tim Soileau, 3 grandchildren; Katrina Muth, Kimberly Trick, Sawyer Soileau, brother; Turling Fontenot, 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and her husband Etell Soileau.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 9:00AM until Noon with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00AM, at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. The funeral service will begin at noon and burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
