Helen J. Harvey

Helen J. Richard Harvey, 74, of Omaha, NE, died on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Omaha, NE. Ms. Harvey was born July 10, 1939 in Lake Charles, LA, where she lived until moving to Houston in 1991 and then Omaha in 2004. She was a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. Ms. Harvey is survived by her son, Jim Flowers of Houston, TX; daughter, Julie Oeltjen and husband Craig of Omaha, NE; sister, Shirley Lavergne and husband Ray of Sulphur; brother, Lynn Richard of Sulphur, LA; and grandchildren, Jonathan Latham and Erin and Hannah Oeltjen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clopha and Elodie Richard; siblings, Mercedes Crochett, Cliff Richard, R. D. Richard, and Marie Aucoin. Her memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in Graceland Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
