Helen Simien Pasnik

Helen Mary Simien Pasnik, 76, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Pasnik was born and raised in Lake Charles, lived forty-six years in San Francisco, CA and returned home to be near her family two years ago. She worked twenty years as a Matre for the Fairmont in San Francisco. She enjoyed playing the guitar, baking, cooking and collecting cookbooks. Mrs. Pasnik will be most remembered for her love of people and nurturing nature. She was a woman of devout Catholic faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four brothers, Warren Simien and wife Neothan of Iowa, Emmett Simien and wife Jackie, Emery Simien and Ronnie Simien and wife Jacqueline, all of Lake Charles; three sisters, Ann Simien of Lake Charles, Joan Guillory and husband Allen of Westlake and Gina Pappion and husband Mark of Lake Charles and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Pasnik; parents, Anthony and Edmonia Simien and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father John Huckaby will officiate.
