Hendrid "Ms. Bea" Emma Faulk McGill, 81, of Lake Charles, LA died at 6:55 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. McGill was born February 4, 1933 in Creole, LA, where she was raised. After her graduation from St. Charles Academy, she moved to Columbus, GA where she met the love of her life. They lived in Pennsylvania for a number of years and upon her husband's retirement, they moved to Lake Charles in 1985. She worked at Hart's Day Care Center for a number of years and at Abraham's Tent for three years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed playing Booray, Bingo, and going to the casinos. She will always be remembered as a loving and giving person who will be missed dearly. Mrs. McGill is survived by her daughter, Jo Beth Bourgeois and husband Tommy of Grand Lake, LA; grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Kinder and companion Tim Smith of Lake Charles and Gabe McGill also of Lake Charles; great-granddaughter, Emily Pinney; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. "Billy" McGill; son, Chris McGill; parents, John K. Faulk and Ena Thibodeaux Adams; and baby brother, Julius Maxi Faulk. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
