Henry Glover, Jr.

Henry "Skip" Glover, Jr., 56, of Lake Charles died on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in his residence. Skip was born on December 13, 1957 in Lake Charles and lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Barbe High School. Skip had worked for Olin Chemicals as an operator for many years. He is survived by a brother, Rodney Glover and wife Myra of The Woodlands, TX; a sister, Denise Martin and husband Darrell of Dequincy; step mother, Elayne Glover of Jasper, TX; step brother, Roger Burgess and wife Claire of Sulphur; step sister, Rev. Barbie Strauss and husband David of Jasper, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Henry Glover, Sr. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Barbie Strauss will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home and the inurnment will be held at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will begin on Tuesday from 4:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.
