Henry Joseph Leger, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Henry J. Leger, Sr., 78, of Sulphur will be held at 10am, Friday, January 21, 2011 in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Father Jim Winiarski will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 20th from 4pm " 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm and resume on Friday, January 21st from 8am " until time of service. Mr. Leger passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Sulphur surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his Parents: Joseph & Lucille Leger; Son: Peter Andrew Leger; 2 Brothers: Woodley & Willard Leger; Sister: Beatrice Fullington and Son-in-law: Larry Brown. Henry Joseph Leger, Sr. was born in Rayne and was a longtime resident of Sulphur. Mr. Leger was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Council #8978 Father Shahrigian. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Chris Brown, Mark LeJune, Jason, Erin, Eric, Brett & Brandon Leger, Jason Moon. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Christus St. Patrick hospice for their prayers and care for dad this past week. After services the family will receive friends at the LaSalette Catholic Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Anna Ruth Leger, Sulphur; 6 Children: Donna Brown, Sulphur; Henry Leger, Jr. & wife Phyllis, Sulphur; Lisa Girot & husband Joe, Sulphur; Nancy Pavlas & husband Bernard, Pearland, Tx; Neal Leger & wife Renee, Sulphur; Faye LeJune & husband Mark, Sulphur; 2 Sisters: Theresa Derouen, Lake Charles; Joyce Duhon, Church Point; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren ; along with a host of other family and friends.
