Herman Andrew Louvier Jr., 80, of Sulphur passed away on May 18, 2016. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. Herman was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all. He was a great example and teacher who supported all of his family. He served his country in the U S Army where he met his wife while stationed in Germany. Herman enjoyed home improvements/remodeling projects, reading, sports and all the time he spent with his family.
Herman is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elisabeth Louvier of Sulphur; his two daughters, Julie Louvier Glasco and husband Tim of Silverthorne, Co and Catherine Louvier Shirley and husband Brian of Tega Cay, SC; his two grandchildren, Noah Andrew Glasco and Katie Love Shirley; his brother, Larry Louvier and wife Mary of Sulphur; and his niece, Paula Louvier of Sulphur; great niece, Lexi Martin and husband Alex and daughter, Brynlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Andrew Louvier, Sr. and Ida Mae Guidry Louvier Wright.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur with Fr. Aubrey Guilbeau officiating. A gathering will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 1-3 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur until time of the service. The family would like to thank Dr. Turner and his staff and all involved in Herman’s care, especially UNIT 41 at St. Patrick Hospital and Harbor Hospice.
