Herman W. Doescher, Jr.

Herman William Doescher Jr. 83, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at his residence. Herman was born in Lake Charles on December 13, 1940 to Herman and Geraldine Doescher. Herman lived most of his life in the Lake Charles area retired as plant manager of Conoco having worked there for over 40 years.
Herman was one of the kindest and most loving men ever known. His love of building street rods was only surpassed by his love of taking his son to motorcross races and spending time with his 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son; Jody Doescher (Gina), daughter; Pamela Gail Doescher Poole (Jimmy), stepdaughters; Ellen Brown and Melanie Fricke, sisters; Venita Alston and Donna Kay Doescher, 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all. Rest in Heaven, we love you!
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 15, 2024, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Graveside services will follow at 11:30AM at Consolata Cemetery.
