Hiang Madith

Mrs. Hiang Madith, 85, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 10th, 2014 at 11:09 AM. Born in Thailand, she relocated with her family to the United States in 1981 and spent the last 33 years of her life in Lake Charles, LA. She is survived by her five children, daughters, Pannee Madith Keene and Porntip Madith Thompson, and sons Kwanchai Madith, Tongchai Madith and Wanarong Madith, all residing in Lake Charles, LA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Terry Thompson and his wife Kristen, Judy Thompson Norwood and her husband Stephen, and Joanna Brooke Thompson. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jennifer Marie Keene. She also leaves behind great grandchildren, Russell Norwood, Ryan Norwood, Ian Michael Thompson and Jacob Maris. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Song Madith and her beloved son in law, Jerry Owens Thompson. During her life, Hiang had a great love of her children and her family. She loved visiting different places and tending to her garden and flowers. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and sharing her knowledge of cooking and sewing. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Heart of Hospice Care and the nurses that cared for her during her final days. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday November 13th from 4 PM to 6 PM with private family services to be held directly after. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
