Hilary Daigle

Hilary Daigle passed away at a local hospital on May 26, 2017.

Hilary Daigle was born on February 8, 1939 to Amos and Elise Daigle. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from PPG after working as a Shipping Clerk for 32 years. He was a member of the Cajun French Music Association. He loved to sing and listen to Cajun music. Mr. Daigle loved to cook for anyone and everyone and also enjoyed working in his garden. His smile lit up any room when he walked in. Spending time around his family was his greatest treasure.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, Elvina Daigle the love of his life for 58 years. She was the love of his life .Two sons, Kurt Daigle and Troy Daigle . Two daughters Pam and husband Jerry Leblanc , Melissa and husband Sherwin Chapman. Brother, Louis Daigle and wife Carol. Seven grandchildren Josh (Denys), Justin (Jessica), Michael (Whitney), Morgan (Robbie), Jeramy, Stacey and Polly. 6 great grand children Keegan, Madison, Anthony, Caden, Shelby and Wyatt. And his favorite companion, BEBE.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and two brothers, John Harold and Wilbert Daigle.

A Burial of Christian Mass will be at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church at 1:30PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 2PM to 9PM on Monday, May 29. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9AM until 1PM.

The family will have a reception at the CFMA building after the service. (3481 E Prien Lake RD)

The family would like to thank the doctors at the Internal Medicine Clinic and the ICU staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
