Horace Joseph Doucet, Jr.

Horace Joseph Doucet Jr. left for his home in heaven at 2:30pm on February 3, 2013. He was a faithful parishioner of his Catholic faith and a living example of God's grace to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War and worked for 28 years at Citgo before completing his career as an operations supervisor at Agrilectric Power Partners.

He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Helen Doucet; a son, Blaine Doucet; three daughters, Victoria Doucet, Monica Jordan and her husband Carl, and Betty Doucet; ten grandchildren, Tim Romero, Sebastian Jordan, Mason Feduccia, Morgan Doucet, Holly Feduccia, Gavin Doucet, Courtney Jordan, Maya Danae' Doucet, Megan Jordan, and Gracie Doucet; two great grandchildren, Alyse Fullerton and Heidi Feduccia; two brothers, Allen Doucet and Herman Doucet; two sisters, Mable Brewer and Isabella Roller; five beloved nieces, Hilda Trahan, Julie Montague, Helen Defiesco, Mary Lambert and Sadie Smith; two beloved nephews, James Doucet and Bill Brewer.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilfred Doucet and J.D. Doucet; two sisters, Mable Brewer and Lillie Albin; his mother, Clemence LaCombe Doucet and father, Horace Joseph Doucet.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00am Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Bayou Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 4:00pm-9:00pm at Johnson Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Tuesday.
