Howard "Peewee" Keith Bertrand

Keith "Pee Wee" Bertrand, 53, of Lake Charles, LA died at 2:25 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in his residence. Pee Wee was born May 27, 1960 in Lake Charles, LA and was a 1978 graduate of Barbe High School. He worked as an insulator for Local # 112 and for V&M Metals as a sheet metal fabricator for over ten years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors and playing computer games. He loved talking to people and always made others laugh. Mr. Bertrand is survived by his brother, Ricky Bertrand and wife D'Ann of South Point, OH; sisters, Vickie Harris of Aurora, IN and Trudy Bertrand and her boyfriend and Keith's best-friend, Kenny Smith of Lake Charles, LA; children, William Caligasan, Netina Baker and husband Roy, and Shane Baker, all of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Shirley Bertrand. His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The family would like to express a special word of thanks to the Doctors and staff of Dr. Lechtenberg and Dr. Foret and Amedisys Hospice for the care and compassion they received. They would also like to thank Kevin Creel for the help that he has given.
