Howard Ray Young, Sr. was born on October 25, 1934 to Ray and Lelia Young. Howard passed away on June 11, 2013 in his residence. He worked at Best Western Suites Motel as Chief Engineer until his retirement. Howard was an avid hunter and loved to fish. Howard is survived by his wife and caregiver, Theresa Young of Vinton, La; six daughters, Marilyn Langley and spouse, Karl from Iowa, LA, Millisa Shell and spouse, Clayton from Lake Charles, LA, Janet Picard and spouse Rod from Moss Bluff, LA, Jennifer Young from Moss Bluff, LA, Belinda Benoit from DeQuincy and Michelle Carlin of Sulphur, LA; step-daughter, Tina Domingue from Basile, LA; three sons, Howard R. Young, Jr. and spouse, Penny from Kenner, LA, Terry Young from Lake Charles, LA and Rodney Domingue from Sulphur, LA; step-son, Leris Bubba Domingue, Jr. from Sulphur; 32 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Loretta Johnson and spouse Harvey from Ragley, LA and Alice John from Elton, LA; 2 brothers, Ray Young, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA and Robert Bobby Young of Iota, LA; and his only godchild, Lelia Trahan. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Young, Sr.; brother, Roy Butch Young and sister, Helen Wells. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Rev. D.L. Gunter officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14 from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Howard will be deeply missed by all of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, family and friends. May he rest in peace forever.
