Hubert L. Rasch

Hubert L. Rasch, 60, of Lake Charles passed away at 2:28 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in a local hospital.

Mr. Rasch was born on November 6, 1959 in Lake Charles where he resided all of his life and was a graduate of Barbe High School. Following graduation, he proudly joined the US Air Force. He had a career as an electrician and belonged to IBEW 861. Mr. Rasch was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Miriam Sensat of Lake Charles; a niece, Miranda LaFleur of Lake Charles; a nephew, Ian Valentine of Lake Charles; his companion of 25 years, Rita Cradeur of Elton; very special cousins, Larry Rasch of Lake Charles and Theresa Hebert of Westlake; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Emile Rasch and a niece, Kimberly Valentine.

A graveside will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Highland Memorial Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon Anthony Pousson will officiate. Visitation will begin on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a cursillo rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until leaving for the cemetery at 12:30 PM.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the help given by the Lake Charles Police Department, Dr. David Hardey, Sr. and the nurses in ER, and the staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, 2^nd floor. They went above and beyond.
