Huey Hershel Myers

Huey Hershel Myers, 88, of Lake Charles died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Orange, TX.

Mr. Myers was born on August 6, 1928 in Kinder, LA and lived most of his life in Lake Charles.  He was an automobile mechanic for numerous local dealerships throughout his career.  Mr. Myers retired as a mechanic from Bell South after more than 20 years of service.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting but he mostly enjoyed time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are six children, Lindy Fabacher (Hal) of Westlake, Randy Myers of Lake Charles, Ronnie Myers of Lake Charles, Carolyn Neal (Ricky) of Sulphur, Pamela McGee (Michael) of Lake Charles, and Travis Myers (Cindy) of Deweyville, TX; six grandchildren, Jenni, Holly, Bree, Emily, Megan, and Blaze; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Braden, Kara, Kinsley, and Leah.  He also leaves behind a niece, Bonnie Sue Marcantel (John) of Westlake and his beloved dog, Lucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie Mae Myers.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  A private inurnment will be held at Consolata Cemetery.
