Hulen Charles Landry, 82, met his Savior Saturday, November 28, 2015 surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren as they prayed, sang hymns and quoted Scripture over him. It was truly a Homegoing day that his family will never forget.
He was born July 31, 1933 in Lacassine, LA to Vena and Lucy LeBouef Landry.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 60 years Lorraine Wallace Landry, daughter Jeannie Hoffpauir and husband Mickey, sons James, Robert & wife Karel, and Greg, also one sister Gayle Nelson. He was dearly loved by his 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Hulen was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, JoAnne.
He was an Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War. Hulen was employed by the Lake Charles Fire Department for 35 years retiring as a District Chief. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, Lake Charles for over 25 years.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 01, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rick Ellis will officiate. Interment services will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Gulf Highway, Lake Charles, LA. Visitation Monday will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
