Ida White See

Mrs. Ida W. See, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in a Lake Charles Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Mrs. See graduated from St. Anthony's High School and received a Masters Degree from McNeese State University. She taught at Our Lady Queen of Heaven for 13 years and retired from The Calcasieu Parish School System after 18 years of service.

She is survived by two sons, Scott See and wife Tess of Sulphur and David See and wife Nicole of Annapolis, Maryland; one daughter, Becky See of Lake Charles; two sisters, Lorraine Sheffield of Bastrop, TX and Elaine Tremonte of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Kelli Dugas of Sulphur, Jeff See of Lake Charles, Matt See of Sulphur, and Laura See of Annapolis, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry See, parents, George and Marguerite White; stepfather, Joseph Jugie and her brother, Robert White.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Herbert May will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 pm-9 pm with a rosary at 7 pm. Visitation will continue Monday at 8 am until time of service.
