Mrs. Ines Mae Marshall, 89, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011. Born August 21, 1922 in Midland to Drozan Breaux and Ada LeJeune Breaux.
Mrs. Marshall traveled the US and abroad following her husband's military career, spending time in Fort Monmouth, NJ, Fort Bliss, TX, Utah, Germany, and France. After his retirement from the military, they lived in Houston, New Mexico, and Baton Rouge before settling in Lake Charles in 1970. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was previously active in the nursery, her Sunday school class, and taught ceramics. Ines was a member of a local quilting club and she also taught quilting. She was owner and operator of Ines' China Studio for a number of years and owner of Ines' Ceramics in League City, TX.
Mrs. Marshall was very artistic and loved making items with her hands. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, needlework, ceramics, porcelain painting, oil and water painting and doll draping. She was also an avid fisherman and loved to travel.
She was devoted to her family and her greatest love was spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Stan Marshall; son, Willard J. LeBlanc and wife Kathleen of Fairmont, TX; daughter, Judy Ann Nix and husband Frank of Sulphur; brother, Lawrence Breaux of Oberlin; two sisters, Myrtle Blake of Orange, TX and Charlotte Kirkpatrick and husband Jim of Orange, TX; 6 grandchildren, Timothy LeBlanc and wife Laura of Groves, TX, Delia Dempsey and husband John of TX, Chris LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge, Daniel LeBlanc and wife Jennifer of Lumberton, TX, Nyla Gatte and husband Dayon of Jennings, Billy F. Nix and wife Linda of Sulphur; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ada and Drozan Breaux; sister, Neva Dorman, two brothers, Curtis Breaux, and Hallett Breaux; grandson, Mark LeBlanc.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 2, 2011 at 11AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. B. T. Shelton will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday from 4PM-9PM and will continue Monday at 8AM until time of service.
