Inez Gabriel Jackson, 91, of Sulphur passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011. Inez was born on November 22, 1919 in Sulphur, LA. She was a graduate of Sulphur High and attended Business School. Inez later worked in marketing and accounting for several construction firms. She was a co-owner of the Family Bargain Centers in Sulphur, Jennings and Orange with her nephew, Jamile G. Hassien for over 25 years. Inez enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and watching football. In her later years she enjoyed watching Will, Sarah and Jacob Hassien participating in soccer, baseball, football and dancing. She was a member of Henning United Methodist Church. Inez is survived by her nephew, Ellis G. Hassien and wife, Hollis and children, Jacob and Sarah Hassien, her niece, Patricia Shirey Hassien, her brother, G.L. Gabriel and wife, Iuna, her brother-in-law, George Taylor, her nephews, Dean Taylor, Joe Taylor, James Taylor and Dwayne Gabriel, her nieces, Wadette Hassien Reeves, Mary Kay Stoma, Larissa Gabriel and Belinda Gabriel Coleman, also numerous other great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Gabriel, one of Sulphurs pioneer families, her nephew Jamile G. Hassien and her great-great nephew, William J. Hassien, her sisters, Kay Gabriel Swafford, Josephine Gabriel Smith, Annie Gabriel Kury, Matilida Gabriel Taylor, Mabel Gabriel Stoma, Helen Gabriel Hassien Walker and brother, Albert Gabriel. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Cain officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 4-8p.m. at the funeral home and will resume on Wednesday at 9 a.m. until time of service. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to either Henning Memorial United Methodist Church or William J. Hassien Scholarship Fund at Chase Bank.
