Inge Stolzle

Inge Else Franziska Ernestine Poppelbaum Stolzle was born on April 24, 1924 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the first child of Elizabeth and Dr. Karl Poppelbaum. She died at the age of 89 on Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Lake Charles, LA. A Memorial Service will be held October 5, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with interment following at Pine Hill Cemetery near Woodlawn to follow. All friends and family are invited. A light meal at the fellowship hall behind the Woodlawn Baptist Church will follow the interment. After the war she met Robert T. Stolzle who was an American Air Force P-51 Fighter Pilot. They wrote countless letters to each other and when she came to visit him in the United States he proposed. They got married and she moved to Woodlawn, Louisiana where they lived until Robert (Bob) died in 2010. Left to cherish wonderful memories, two children, Robert Stolzle, Jr. (Delaine) and Linda Stolzle Perry (Alan). Six grandchildren, Jessica Perry Alderson (Seth), Kayla Perry Fairchild (Jude), Alex Perry, Michael Stolzle (Hayley), Amanda Stolzle (Gabe), and John Stolzle. Inge loved her family and spoiled her grandchildren. She enjoyed holiday "get togethers" and visits more than anything else. Good food and drink with friends and family were some of her favorite things. Come and say goodbye to an interesting life well lived.
