Irene Ann Courville

Irene A. Lopez Courville, 84, of Lake Charles passed away, Monday, April 21, 2014 in a local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a 1948 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. Mrs. Courville was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, the church choir, and the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed dancing and working in her yard. Mrs. Courville was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Courville and wife Heather of Lake Charles, Wendell Courville of Dallas, TX, and Jeff Courville and fiancée Cindy Fontenot of Lake Charles; six grandsons, Jacob Courville and wife Jessica, Phillip Bernard and wife Lynette, Jimmy Courville, Jr., Christopher Courville, Benjamin Courville and wife Kaitlyn, and David Courville; one granddaughter, Ashley Courville; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years John B. Courville. Her Funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 25, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, today, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM and continue from 9:00 AM until time of services, Friday, in the funeral home.
