Irene Marie Glorioso

Irene Marie (Rogers) Glorioso, 83, of Lake Charles died at 10:00AM Tuesday, September 04, 2012 in her residence with her loving family at her side.


Mrs. Glorioso was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and has lived in Lake Charles for the past 70 years. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff for many years. Mrs. Glorioso served as a rosary team member. She loved the Lord and never missed church. In her spare time she loved to play Pokeno with friends. She helped cook for the St. Joseph table. She always loved the color Blue. Mrs. Glorioso loved spending time in the outdoors and around the house doing yard work, house work and cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and wonderful grandmother. She enjoyed the Italian tradition of pasta every Sunday.


She is survived by two daughters, Angela Fairfield and husband ( Joseph Speedy ) of Iowa, LA and Pat Evans of Buda, TX, three sons, Ross Glorioso and wife (Sherry) of Moss Bluff, LA, Joseph Joe Glorioso of LeBleu Settlement, LA and Philip Glorioso Jr. and wife (Rose B.) of Lake Charles, LA, four sisters; Lucille McCormie of Dallas, TX. Bernice Monceaux of Lake Charles, LA, Yvonne Menard and Joyce McRay both of Carlyss, LA, two brothers Raymond Rogers of Topsy, LA, and Michael Rogers of Carlyss, LA, sister-in law Marie Rogers and there four children, nine grandchildren; Christine Randolph, Theresa Roach, Pam Dartez, Rachel and Matthew Evans, Adam Glorioso, Bethany Glorioso, Alisha Singleton, Philip Joseph Glorioso III Little Ross and Kevin Dartez, three great grandchildren Elizabeth and Eleanor Randolph and Parker Singleton, two nieces Rose (Carroll) Guidry their children Monica and John Guidry and Barbara and Irvng Mott and their five children and grandchildren, nephews, Joe Russell( Chris) Simon, also Frank Simon ( Mary) and there four children.


She is preceded in death by her husband Philip Joseph Glorioso Sr., one sister Mildred Romero, two brothers Wilson Rogers and Leonard Rogers.


Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Herbert May will officiate. Burial will be in Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday at 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday at 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM.
