Irma Faye Granger, 71, of Bell City passed away at 7:48 AM, Friday, December 6, 2013 in a local hospital. Faye was a native and life resident of Bell City and a graduate of Bell City High School. She has been employed with the Calcasieu Parish Clerk of Court's Office for forty years and at the time of her death she was serving as the Civil Minute Clerk. Faye was a longtime member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, the Church Women's Group, and was a member of the Church Choir. She was a Notary Public and Certified Deputy Clerk through the Clerk of Court Association. Faye also served as the Commissioner in charge of elections in the Bell City Area. Survivors include her husband, Harold P. Granger; two sons, Mark B. Granger and wife Valerie, and Damon "Boo" Granger and wife Tammy; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. and Beulah Fruge Guillory; sister, J'Nora Shaw; and brother, J.C. Guillory. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 9, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic church in Bell City. Reverend Emmanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Vianney Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Sunday, with a Scripture Service at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary and continue from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM, Monday, in the funeral home.
