Irone Dean Fuselier Baker, 71, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 8:30 PM on Friday, July 31, 2015 in a local hospital. Ms. Baker was born January 7, 1944 in Eunice, LA and lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA. She loved children and enjoyed spending many years as a caregiver. She was a Christian woman who was strong in her faith. She was an active member of Christian World Church, where she sang in the choir, worked in the food pantry and helped with the Children's Sunday School. Ms. Baker was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles. She will always be remembered as a loving and giving woman with a heart of gold. Ms. Baker is survived by her son, Kevin Wayne Bourque and wife Melanie; daughter, Tina Bourque Manuel and husband Bob; grandson, Kirkland Wayne Bourque, all of Lake Charles; sisters, Brenda Freed and husband George of California, Dorina Fontenot and husband Wendell of Lake Charles, and Peggy Bushnell and husband Wesley of Arkansas; brother, Glenn Fuselier and wife Joan of Lake Charles; and godchildren, Alasia, Jayla, and Lynn Babineaux, Jr., and Cassie Adams. She was preceded in death by her granddog, Jack. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chuck Huddelston will officiate. A gathering of family members and friends will be at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
