Irven Charles Vincent

Irven “Charles” Vincent, 79, of Lake Charles passed away on January 19, 2016 in a local care center. Charles loved spending time with his family. He won many medals from performing activities during the Special Olympics, enjoyed bowling, gardening, soft ball and basketball.

Charles is survived by his favorite niece and caregiver, Vickie Thomas and husband Frank of Sulphur; his nephews, Harold Benoit and Brenda of Carlyss, LeRoy “Bobby’ Benoit and wife Joan of Humboldt, NB, and Mickie Benoit of Houston, TX; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Adana Vincent; and his sisters, Vina Benoit and Belvie David.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 12 P.M. with Deacon Patrick LaPoint officiating at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Gueydan Cemetery in Gueydan, LA at 3 P.M. under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 9 A.M. until time of the service. The family would like to thank Landmark and Heart of Hospice for their care of “Charlie”.
