Isaac Bodin

Isaac Bodin, 84, of Lake Charles died at 8:45 AM on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mr. Bodin was born on July 28, 1927 in Erath, LA. He was a watchmaker in high school before moving to Lake Charles where he founded Bodin Jewelers in 1955.

His friends knew him as IKE. He was known for his engaging personality that was loved by all.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Miriam Bodin; three sons, Keith and wife Lena, Van, and Randall Bodin; grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Logan, and Adrienne Bodin, Lindsey Spano and husband Rhett, Mandy and Blake Bodin; two great grandchildren, Colin and Mia Ortego; and two sisters, Eula Garber of Iota and Sister Murial Bodin of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve James will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
