Isaac "Ike" David Mouhot

Isaac "Ike" David Mouhot, 76, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 6, 1948, to Mildred Lucille Cole and Andrew Lewis Mouhot, Ike lived a life filled with service, faith, and love.

A devoted Christian, Ike found strength and purpose in his faith. He proudly served in the Air Force for four years, the 1st in mobile communications unit. After his military service, he retired from a fulfilling career at Citgo. Ike was a hard worker who never hesitated to lend a hand, treating everyone like family and always finding ways to help others. He took great pride in his family and loved them deeply. He served his country and community with unwavering dedication.

Known for his exceptional cooking, especially his famous ribs, Ike was affectionately called "Paw Paw" by many who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Amaryllis "Lily" Clavell Mouhot; daughters Pam Banerjee (Ashim), Nikki Mouhot, and Tabitha Bateman (Lane); son Matthew Mouhot (Morgan); and grandchildren Anjali, Ashley, Logan, Megan, Alex, Tyler, Jackson, Emma Jane, and Eloise. Ike also cherished his great-grandchildren, Caroline, Paxton, Hollyn, Ivy, Madi, and Graham. He is further survived by his sister, Judy Conley; brother, Andy Mouhot; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved cousins.

Ike is preceded in death by his parents, brother Carlton Mouhot, brother-in-law Freeman Conley, and nephews Mike and Rick Mouhot.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Houston Hospice or St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Ike's memory.

Funeral Services with military honors will be Saturday October 26, 2024, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (123 W Sale Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605) at 3:00pm. Visitation will begin Saturday at the church from 2:00pm till time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
