Isabelle Madeline Mcdaniel

Isabelle Madeline McDaniel, 91, of Lake Charles, LA passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Resthaven Nursing Center. Belle was born on April 18, 1923 in Oberlin, Louisiana to John and Regina Fontenot. She raised seven children in Lake Charles and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church. Belle loved her family dearly and loved to prepare dinner for them and their friends. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade rice dressing. She also enjoyed camping with her husband. She was a member of the Good Sams Club. She loved flowers, bargain shopping and was a very good dancer. Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Jerry McDaniel and wife Nita of Baytown, TX, James "Boo" McDaniel and wife Mary of Lake Charles, J. Lyles McDaniel wife Louise of Lake Charles, and Jeffrey Lane McDaniel and wife Shirley; two daughters, Jennifer Courville and husband Tim of Duson, LA and JoAnn Niles and husband John of Lake Charles, LA; daughter-in-law, Dorothy McDaniel of Lake Charles; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two twin sisters, Joyce Faulk of Lafayette, LA and Beatrice "Bea" Vizena of Lake Charles, LA. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Davis McDaniel; one son John Randall McDaniel; two sisters, Mary Ann Manuel and Lillian Fontenot; one brother, John Fontenot, Jr.; and one grandson, Chris McDaniel. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 30, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Friday at Johnson Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 12:30 PM. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. Father Alan Trouille will officiate services. The family wants to thank Belle's son, Lane, for his loving home care and Resthaven Nursing Facility.
